The Best of 2006

Well I did it last year for TV shows and for Podcasts, so I guess this is an annual tradition. It's my time to post what my favorite television shows and podcasts are. I like to express my opinions here on my blog to try and influence the three people that ever read it. First let me bid a fond farewell to some of my favorites from last year that did not survive. Two newcomers, Surface and Invasion bit the dust along with my long time favorite, Alias. And the only show that remains from last year that I've removed from my auto record list is Medium. There are only so many hours in a week and I just had to cut back.So here they are.... the envelope please... (I watch way to many reality shows)

Best New Shows Heroes Justice 6 Degrees - It's gone already. Guess Connie and I were the only ones watching it. Best Comedy The Office - So funny Curb Your Enthusiasm - Very close to #1. May be the all time funniest show. The Daily Show Best Drama 24 - Can't wait for season 6 The Closer - I love Brenda Lee Prison Break - Great fall finale Numb3rs - This adds up to a good show.... sorry Justice - Victor Garber went straight from Alias to this show and that's why I gave it a try ER - Still fun after all these years Best Dramedy Boston Legal - It gets zanier every episode and Shatner is a riot Desperate Housewives - Yes I really watch it Grey's Anatomy

Best Reality Dancing With The Stars - Go Emmit Survivor - The tribe has spoken Project Runway So You Think You Can Dance - Great second season American Idol Last Comic Standing The Apprentice The Great Race Best Mystery Monk Cold Case Best Sci-Fi Heroes Lost Smallville The 4400 The Dead Zone Best Game Show Jeopardy - All the other game shows should take a look at the one that's lasted this long. I can not stand Deal or No Deal, 1 vs 100, Show Me The Money. They drag out too long. Best Talk Show The Dick Cavette Show - TCM aired some of the classic interviews and he is still the best there ever was.
