My morning email to The Daily

This morning, reading the new Daily app for iPad, I talked myself out of subscribing right now. Here's why, in the email I sent them, below. (I just realized that I'll have no way to ever know if the technical issues have been worked out, unless I subscribe for week.... since the free trial is over in two days.)

-----------
I really want to subscribe but I think you have to work out technical issues and get a stable app before you start collecting money.

Reading todays issue, I'm not even halfway through and the app has shut down 5 times. I'm not even doing anything when it happens. I may be in the middle of reading a page and all of a sudden I'm looking at my desktop.

I also feel if I subscribe I should be able to see past issues that I paid for but missed. I didn't have time to look yesterday and I have now missed a part of the Schools series. The plus... the content is wonderful and the multi-media integration is great.

Imagine you're reading a newspaper on the train and every five minutes someone next to you pulls the paper out of your hand, loses your place and waits 30 seconds to give it back to you. It can get annoying.

Yeah, technology bites sometimes, doesn't it?
I keep getting "Net Assistance" page interfering when I'm on Firefox.
