I was just about to purchase this book for my iPad Kindle. Can you explain this pricing strategy to me?
An electronic version that you don't need to print or distribute.... a version that I can only read on my Kindle device, which I can never loan to anyone, resell at a garage sale, donate to a library........
IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE PRINT COPY?
$11.99 for electronic bits and bites that have no physical existence.
$9.75 for a HC copy that I will have forever, and can loan to my friends when I'm done.
Doesn't it make better business sense for you to encourage me to get the electronic copy? It limits the amount of people that can physically read it to ME, whereas the physical copy could be read by many people thus reducing actual sales of the book.
I want to move to a digital book library but I refuse to be taken advantage of by greedy publishers. I'm sure an electronic copy of this book can be found on a bittorrent site. I will not do that. I want to pay you for it but I refuse to be taken advantage of.
