I drove down to the Jacob Burns Film Center in Westchester last night to see Buster Keaton in The General, With live accompaniment by Ben Model and introduction and Q&A with Dana Steven’s who just release a new book about Buster. I took the opportunity to buy a copy and get it autographed by the author. With almost 200 people in attendance it was a joy to share laughter watching a film that will in just a few short years turn 100 years old. A testament to the genius of Buster Keaton.
