Bye-bye A-Rod

I wonder what upset Yankee fans more, the Red Sox winning another world series or A-Rods announcement.

Agent Scott Boras announced during Game 4 of the World Series on Sunday night that A-Rod was opting out of the final three seasons of his contract with the New York Yankees. The timing left baseball officials livid, and Boras apologized Monday.

Have I mentioned how nervous the Mets are making me

I don't mention my passion for the Mets very often. I watch or listen to some portion of just about all of their games. Most nights if I haven't watch the entire game, I at least tune in to watch the final few innings. Tonight was typical of the Mets; an amazing jump out of your chair rally followed by a devastating lose. And now the concern for the condition of Billy Wagner. It's going to be a long two week end of the season. Please don't let the Yankees claim first and the Mets lose it. I couldn't bare to listen to my wife.

I hate the Yankees but.....

Ryan played with a travel baseball team I coached. The nicest kid you would ever want to meet. I think the punishment and example they made of him is disgraceful. Consider this fact, a full grown adult major league player, Guillermo Mota takes steroids and he gets a 50 game suspension. An 18 year old kid, cooks up a stunt to sneak in and meet his baseball idol, the idol that for years he'd been paying way too much to see, and he gets a 243 game suspension. That's justice in the MLB.

He's not the first person to wear a disguise at Shea. Bobby Valentine did it? What was his punishment.

Jay Horowitz and the Mets should be embarrassed. I hope they can all look back to the crazy things they did when they were teenagers and say that they never did anything worse than this, because I'm pretty sure most people can't.
