Google Music Search

When I was taking a look on Google for "Straight No Chaser" I discovered that I finally seem to have the new Google Music Search.  What a great idea to incorporate music and lyric searches into Google with free song previews and links to many of the most popular online streaming music sites like Pandora, Rhapsody and a new one to me Lala.

This is what I love about Google.  A simple search and I found so many new things to enjoy.  Lala has a great model.  You can buy a downloadable MP3 version of any song for $.89 or you can add a web only playable version for just $.10.  That's a price that will make it very hard not to hit the PURCHASE button.  Now of course if you had to be bound to your computer to play it, that would be limiting.  In the day and age of the GADGET you don't have to worry about that.  There's an app for that.  The iPhone app let's you play your Lala music via 3G or wi-fi without having the music taking up space on your device.  And if that wasn't enough, Lala will allow you to match the MP3's you already have on your computer with their online catalogue and automatically add them to your Lala account to be played wherever you can get an online connection.

I was also able to track down a song that was used on So You Think You Can Dance the other night, by the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's

Of course I had to put Google Music Search to the test and see if it could find the songs that matched some obscure lyrics.  It didn't fail.  Here are the lyrics I tried.  You can follow the link to find out the song:
